It starts out as all fun and games. A bar, scantily clad girls and an initiation party plan to go to a haunted place. The girls don't know the place, but soon find out it's lethal. Five girls, five floors, five ghosts. The tunnel of the title, "Death Tunnel", is based on a tunnel at the Waverly Hills Sanatorium that was used to move the dead (from TB) patients to the back of the facility where transportation was waiting to take them away. People died there by the thousands.
After the girls arrive at the hospital, empty, abandoned for years, they are separated to different floors where they will be scared by the guys from the bar. However, there are real scares waiting for them that the boys can't even come close to.
The Booths use their signature dark atmosphere and creepy visuals to put you on the edge and then push you over that edge with the appearance of all the ghosts on all the floors. They all go after the girls and get them one by one, and their little boys too.(Oh... I channeled the Wizard of Oz). Death Tunnel made my top 50 scariest horror films. The filming of this movie lead to a documentary about Waverly Hills and it's hundreds of hauntings. Stay tuned for "Spooked" review. Order Online at www.spookedtv.com
